It’s too damned hot here in Georgia for long hair! I probably should have goten it cut even shorter. Believe it or not, I actually a little concerned about how I should drew the new hair-do. But considering I do actually have anime-hair, it really doesn’t matter in the long run, does it?

Adventure #310: I Should be Punched Out! Wakka Wakka!
by on June 16, 2009 at 5:19 pmHere comes the 3rd comic by my good friend David Bednar! A sprite comic? Noooooo!!
To Clarify, I bought a present for Josh’s going away party, which David was going to reimburse me later during dinner, and it was only then that I’d realized it was David’s birthday, and he picked up MY tab!
This was a rough day, yippee I’m a stupid moocher!
So we recorded a new SEQALAB today, the awesome comics podcast the Sequential department of SCAD puts out. But before that, Jeremy “Sweetwater” Mullins, the main man in charge of the podcast wanted to lay down some ground rules, since he’d been away in Lacoste for the past 5 months.
To be fair, we let SEQALAB get pretty lax while Kevin and Jarrett ran the show, and I could see Jeremy’s take that we’re going to have to keep on topic, and keep things in line. But there was a definite split between the cast at the meeting, alot of people were either all for the structure or several who were really pissed that their freedom to be themselves might be stripped away.
Either way, it was a tense recording session, but I think as the weeks go on everybody will loosen up and learn to live with the new rules.
LISTEN TO SEQALAB DAMMIT! Go on iTunes and seek it out!!
While reading this comic, please listen to THIS.
Infact, I’m sure if you haven’t watched the Black Hole you probably won’t get today’s strip. It’s amazing how you can write off a movie until it’s just popped into the player, and wow, what a surprise this movie turned out to be, I simply didn’t expect it to be as good as it was! And for a Disney movie, it was hella dark! And an ending that rivals 2001: A Space Odyssey in craziness.
The robots were hands down the stars of the film, Vincent and Bob the duo that could give WALL-E a run for his money in a fight, right down to the evil cold and ruthless MAX, who’s much more cooler looking than his name would let on.
Also, this coloring was done on a whim at 4AM, so that was fun to do!
Today was pretty awesome by nost standards, I was able to meet Dave’s lovely girlfriend Abagail, I just hope the combined nerdiness of me, Josh and Dave didn’t completely crush her. But atleast Marrisa was there in the end to balance it all out. And it was pretty much a perfect day outside, not a cloud in the sky, not too hot, and River Street was actually pleasant!
And gosh darnit do I love eating at Zunzi’s, probably one of the best kept secrets of Savannah, if you’re a fellow Savannahite, and know about Zunzi’s DONT TELL THE TOURISTS!! You’ll ruin it!
What makes their sandwiches so great, is due in no small part to their sauce, which they soak nearly every part of their sandwiches with, and I discovered that they actually started selling the sauce by the bottle! So in the next couple of days I’m going to start stockpiling that stuff, and when I leave Savannah, you can be sure I’ll have a box full of Zunzi’s sauce. Yum!
Adventure #244: Josh Routt Vs. The Samurai Time Lord
by on March 31, 2009 at 4:27 amIt’s too bad Josh was then suddenly wisked away by an enormous green dragon, I had to pay for his meal and then walk home because he gave me a ride there. And since I forgot to take my allergy pills that morning, I was sneezing up a storm, christ!
When you get back Josh, you owe me 7$ for that godamn meal!
Adventure #225: Burkhalter Part 2: Electric Boogaloo
by on March 12, 2009 at 2:02 amSo, the party got pretty crazy, but thankfully I didn’t get blind-ass drunk like I did in my last folly. Major props to SEQA PJ Kevin Burkhalter and Jarrett Williams for throwing a funkin’ awesome party.
People on the Cool Couch: Me, Pranas & Martyn, read their kerrr-azy exploits, as they’ll surelly be mirroring mine on this day!
I’ll admit it, looking back on my SCAD career, I don’t think I really took advantage of what was being laid out before me, or even understood it! So I guess when they were talking about the losers who never realize what they have, it just struck a chord.
But, I suppose I can’t really look back on life like that, it bogs me down too much. I’m drawing comics and I’m doing my best to get my name out there! Look forward to tommorrow, HELLS YEAH!
While being delivered a crush blow at the end of the recording, my spirits were lifted! Since I’ve been extremely gung ho about recording at the Zine Fair, Kevin decided that he’ll be showing me (and Wheeler, but I’ll be the one holding onto the equipment) how to record and set up SEQALAB for next week!
I am so freakin’ pumped! I’ve only been on SEQALAB for the past couple of months, but I feel like I’ve really become an integral part of the community. I’m extremely honored to hold high the mantel of Podcast Jockey! So wish me luck guys!
Oh yeah, and Listen to SEQALAB, ya dumbies! Its an awesome comics podcast! Tell ‘em Brett sent ya!
