Welp, this is it, 365 fully recorded days of The Daily Odyssey, time to take a nice long hiatus while I work on my new comic: Brightleaf. I’ll be posting alot more information in the coming week, so keep your eyes peeled!
DON’T WORRY, THE ODYSSEY ISN’T ENDING FOR GOOD!
I’ve figured that while I work on the Brightleaf, I’ll be using the Daily Odyssey as a sketch blog, and who knows, mayhaps I’ll have something to post that substantion every once in a while! You’ll see it here!
I’m a somewhat clean guy, I take care of my messes here and again, sometimes I may leave some messes out longer than they should be, but I can sometimes snap and just get into a complete cleaning frenzy.
My roomates have a tendency to leave dishes out for a while, sometimes in pretty odd places, such as, the living room. And I know to myself that I shouldn’t clean other peoples meses up, but I tell ya, people have their limits!! Though, I will leave the dishes in the sink, and simply clean my own, since I have about a 1 dirty dish per 2 days output, while my roomates tend to use more on a daily basis, which is all well and good, but I can’t be held to same clean-up schedule.
Anyway, yadda, yadda, this is pretty much a transparent attempt to tell my roomates to clean there dishes a little more often, isn’t it?
Awwwww….. shucks!
Anyhow, My Sister’s been down in Florida for the past 6 months or so, at Disney World doing some internship (paid slavery), and my mother flew down to drive home with her, and they stopped by on the drive home to say hello, how nice!
My sister and I have and… odd relationship. We bicker ALOT but shucks we still love eachother, and besides she got me this:
As for their visit: It was raining like hell, so it was tough to finding a good place to eat, dammit Savannah, stop tearing open a portal from the ocean on top of the city!
Another auspicious entry into Guest Quest by Daily Odyssey super fan Melanie Pritchard! The first person to recognize me in public, and to leave weird messages on my car while I was at work finally got the chance to draw an odyssey, and gee shucks if it aint the cutest ever?!
Since Mother’s Day always seemed to land near finals, it was always pretty hectic the four years I’d been going to SCAD to find the time to buy a card let alot draw one for my Mom, so this year I felt the need to really put my all into a wonderful card. I just wish I could have seen her reaction!

Since she’s lived pretty much all her life on Long Island, and been very close to the beaches, she’s always had a thing for lighthouses, so I figured drawing after a famed spot would be a good start.
I felt pretty good, since she actually thought I’d just drawn my little cartoony self over a pre-exisitng piece of art of the location. That, or she was just trying to feed me ego, like all mothers do. I probably could have done half the work and she still would have loved it, but I went all out goddammit! I love my mom! RAGH!!

Here’s my day as total by that young upstart Matt Johnson, creator of his own biographic webcomic “Am I Indie Yet?” Well Matt, I’m here to say, yes, you are Indie. So now you have to change your webcomic’s name, sorry.
Anywho, I know we’ve all been their, your mom is up your ass about ten thousand different things parrallel to the shit you’re already been stressing out about. Blah blah blah, I love you Mom! Even though I can hate your guts sometimes! Only the guts, I swear.

Don’t believe me? Here’s some fine clippings:
Well what do you think? Shaman-Man 2 can be yours for just 2$, plus shipping, if you need more information, please email me at BTMstudios@gmail.com, and even if you don’t want the comic, I’d love to hear from you.
Thank you once again Loyal Adventurers, and safe travels!
I figured this would make a lovely blog post for all those who hadn’t seen this comic the day I posted it.
I originally wrote this story as an entry for SCAD’s Pantomime anthology, but I felt it had enough character to unfold into a graphic novel. Anywho, here’s the original comic from back in 2007, tell me what you think!
Don’t worry, I’m planning more for Brightleaf and Eyeball in the future! And hopefully in a longer format.
