Journal comics are great for building discipline, but they hardly build your writing and storytelling abilities. Not to mention that's it's easy to keep drawing the same things over and over in a journal comic and not push things like layouts, camera angles, etc. That being said, I also have a 50-150 page comic I'm developing that Matthew is pushing me to make it into a serial webcomic. I'm against doing that in this instance because the pacing is such that I can't imagine how every single page is going to be interesting to the reader. And every single page has to be at least a little interesting since viewers only get to see one page every few days. So I guess if you're looking to do it to get more readers, you should consider if your story will still play out well one page at a time.
