It was a real drag flying home, since my original flight, scheduled at 11:05am was cancelled, and was put onto the next flight… at 4:00 in the afternoon. Hurray. Luckily, Brannon and Marion were still around, so they gave me a ride to Walmart and I picked up a book to read to chase away the doldrums.
I ended up purchasing the Dragonball Z 3in1 Manga on a lark, since when I was in middle school I couldnt get enough of that show. Figuring this translation would also be a little more true to form, I figured it would be much better. And holy crap, how right I was, everything just works thousands of times better than the tv show, most notable is the pacing, which is cranked up about 300%. And the action is classic Akira Toriyama kineticism, you can feel those punches on the page. So I highly recommend this to anyone remotely interested in manga.
Anyhow, the delay was a bitch and all, but getting to fly First Class for the first time was pretty sweet. I might, the stewardess’ hung up my coat for me completely unasked when I first sat down. Though the funny thing was when I remarked about the service, the stewardess kept saying how it’s better than “back there”. Oh Elitism!
Anyhow, after a lovely drive home with my parents quarreling about directions I soon made my way to my friend usual hangout: John’s house. John’s a good friend a of mine, and I pretty much just watched Dave play Disgaea 3 all night. A grim reminder of why maybe its best I dont stay home: hanging out with friends = no work gets done, more so than usual!
And yeah, everyone was pretty gassy that night. We’re very gross and impolite people. Live with it.

Those Viz big editions of their classic shonen manga are fantastic. My only gripe is that the Dragonball ones always end in the middle of storylines which gets frustrating for me.
Dangit… Why did you make ME the farty one? T-T
