I’ve heard all about Comcast and their legendary asshole-ishness, but I haven’t witnessed it firsthand until today.
Their phone service has to be the absolute worst I’ve ever had to put up with. I got disconnected 3 times, put on hold while my call was “transferred” only to be picked up by somebody completely clueless of my cause about twice, and I went through their little ‘touch-tone maze’ about fifty times.
When someone WAS talking to me, they were of absolutely no help, here’s a little paraphrase of my dilema:
C – “So, you say your internet is working…”
Me – “Sporadically, It can work one minute, and not the next.”
C – “Hm… It could be your computer, you should have it looked at.”
Me – “It’s not my computer, its working fine.”
C – “Well, it says your modem is working, so it has to be your computer.”
Me – “I have two other people living with me, and they all have the same problem.”
C – “Um… I’ll transfer you to our internet service department…” (Which never happend)
What a croc! We shouldn’t have to put up with this because they’re a monopoly!
