There was so much going on during my first day, I couldn’t decide what to put in the comic, but ole’ Jack won out, since he was probably the nicest customer I’ve encountered in all my years in retail, he was a really go getter he was.
Aside from that, apparently my manager Paula had cooked Lasagna for the entire crew, I mean, what better way to welcome you that with a big plate of pasta, huh?
The rest was usual retail work, stand for hours on end until you either clock out or help close. I had the option to clock out early, but shucks, since it was my first day, why not give them the impression that I’ll do more than asked?
Hopefully that could equal out to better hours or pay, fingers crossed!
